A road was closed for more than 12 hours yesterday due to a serious collision.
Motorists were told to expect delays in the area following a car crash which happened at 1.45pm on the A21 between Tonbridge and Pembury.
Fire services and paramedics were in attendance.
The coastbound carriageway was closed at the junctions with Quarry Hill and Pembury Road.
At the time there was two miles of congestion on approach, causing delays of 40 minutes above normal travel time.
Drivers were advised to use diversion routes in place.
Kent Police tweeted an update at 6.24am today saying that the road is now open – more than 12 hours after it had shut.
It stated: "The carriageway reopened at around 1.55am this morning (9 November) following an investigation into the incident."
