The world’s most colourful 5km run will partner with a Kent primary school.
Run or Dye, which is bringing two major events to the county this summer, has joined forces with St Lawrence CE Primary School, near Sevenoaks.
The colourful runs will take place at Penshurst Place on Sunday and Hever Castle on October 3.
They encourage runners and walkers of all ages and abilities to take part. Volunteers from St Lawrence CE Primary School will be on hand helping to fill the day with colour for every single participant.
The school may be small, but they do not believe this should hold them back. They are currently forging ahead with plans to replace a run-down temporary building with a new purpose-built classroom designed to fulfill their current and future needs.
Headteacher, Alison Saunders, said: "Our children are our future and we are thrilled to be part of this event to help make their future a little better. The fundraising will benefit children for years to come.”
Organisers say hundreds have already entered into both the Penshurst Place and Hever Castle Run or Dye events with participants encouraged to run, jog or walk to the finish line, getting covered head-to-toe in colour as they go.
Four 'dye zones' throughout the route will ensure there’s no getting away from the all-encompassing and full-on brilliance of the most colourful 5km in the world.
