A town centre cordon thrown up around a street after a murder has now been lifted and shops have reopened.
Traders at Avebury Avenue, Tonbridge, had to shut down yesterday while police descended on the area to search for clues.
A man was stabbed to death close to the street in the early hours of yesterday (Friday) and police cordoned off the area as they searched.
A spokesman for Jimmy's Cafe in Avebury Avenue today told KentOnline: "All day yesterday we could not trade but we have been able to open today.
"There are no police here now."
Hasan Husnu, of Avebury Avenue Fish Bar, added: "At first we were told could reopen by 5pm yesterday. Then the time had to be extended to let the police gather the evidence they needed.
"We are back trading today and there is no longer a police presence or cordon.
'It is always sad to hear when something like this happens...'
" The area again looks like it usually does.

Officers were called to the attack, on a victim in his 20s, just before 1am yesterday and attended with ambulance crews.
The suspect was arrested at 3.40am that day.
Businesses along Avebury Avenue were unable to open that morning and there was a heavy police presence around the town.
