Michael Yeo, 18, from Plumstead charged after rooftop stand-off in Quarry Hill Road, Tonbridge

A teenager has been charged following a rooftop stand-off lasting three and a half hours.

Michael Yeo, 18, from Plumstead is accused of two counts of criminal damage and was due to appear before Sevenoaks Magistrates' Court yesterday.

Police cordoned off part of Quarry Hill Road in Tonbridge on Thursday afternoon, causing disruption for commuters, after reports of a man on the roof.

Ambulance crews were also called in case there were any injuries.

The man is said to have thrown bricks and other items at people on the street.

At around 6pm, he came down and was arrested by police.
