A driver was tied up and put in the back of his van during a robbery in Tonbridge.
Police are appealing for witnesses to the incident, which is reported to have happened on the A21 near Tonbridge at around 7am yesterday.
The victim was driving a white Ford Transit van on the coastbound carriageway, between the M25 junction and Morley’s roundabout near Tonbridge, when he was pulled over by a black Audi A3, which had a blue light and siren on.
The Audi stopped in front of the van and it is reported two men got out and threatened the driver before tying his hands and placing him in the rear of the van.
The men removed a quantity of cash from the rear of the vehicle in black and white plastic sacks and left the scene in the Audi.
It is reported the driver then freed himself, waved down a passing lorry and alerted the police.
The Audi was subsequently set alight in the car park of a recreation ground near the A25 at Brasted.
One of the suspects was described as white, in his early 30s, 5ft 2in tall, of slim build with dark hair and wearing sunglasses.
The other was described as white, 30 to 40 years old, 5ft 5in tall, of average build, with dark hair, a brown beard and wearing a black cap.
Both were wearing black long-sleeved tops and trousers, dark scarves, grey gloves and black shoes.
