Peter Mills, from Chatham accused of stealing £79,1888 from Vaultex Ltd entered not guilty plea at Maidstone Crown Court

An employee at a cash handling depot in Tonbridge is accused of stealing nearly £80,000 from his employer.

Peter Mills, 67 of Burma Way in Chatham appeared at Maidstone Crown Court on Friday, September 19 charged with the theft of £79,188 from Vaultex Limited between January, 1, 2013 and May, 13, 2014.

The site on Vale Road is a former Securitas base and was targeted in the largest cash robbery in British history of £53 million.

Mills entered a plea of not guilty and he is due to appear at Maidstone Crown Court again on Wednesday, December 3.
