Dramatic video footage has emerged which apparently shows a man filming children riding bikes on a frozen lake.

The film shows the youngsters braving the ice of Haysden Park in Tonbridge to cycle on the precarious surface.

At one point one of the children slips and falls on the ice - little realising there could be just a few centimetres protecting them from the treacherous waters.

The father seemed dedicated to filming the youngsters, despite the apparent dangers.

The film was made on the same day youngsters were spotted walking onto the ice on the same lake.

A grandmother was out walking when she spotted children venturing out as far as 15 ft onto the ice.

She said that while the ice may appear solid, there are places where it is weaker and children could fall through.

She said: “I saw a dog fall through the ice, and parents walking out and taking a picture on the ice as well. It’s totally stupid, it's madness.

"I wouldn't normally comment or ask them not to, but it's really dangerous. I'm a grandmother and I would be horrified if my children or grandchildren were allowed on the ice like that."
