Tonbridge Angels manager Steve McKimm expecting plenty of goals from new striker Billy Medlock

Steve McKimm has backed striker Billy Medlock to be a hit at Tonbridge Angels after joining from Ryman League basement boys Eastbourne Town.
The 23-year-old scored 30 goals last season for Town, who were relegated to the Sussex League after finishing rock-bottom of Ryman League, Division 1 South.
And the new Angels boss believes Medlock can replicate that sort of form in front of goal further up the pyramid.
McKimm said: “Billy comes highly recommended. He’s scored a lot of goals and a goalscorer never loses his touch. But you’ve got to be given a chance to do that and I’m confident in what Billy can do.”
Tonbridge also signed Tom Parkinson this week, the versatile defender having helped Leatherhead win the Division 1 South play-offs last season.
McKimm said: “I had a couple of calls about Tom from people in higher leagues, putting him forward. A couple of people I know have seen him play and I saw him play for Leatherhead last year.
“He got an offer from Leatherhead but he’s decided to come to our side. Their loss is our gain.”
