Tommy Warrilow's six-and-a-half-year reign as Tonbridge manager ended with a goalless draw against Havant on Saturday.
Angels were already relegated going into game but there were implications at the top of Skrill South as the result cost the visitors a play-off place on goal difference.
Perry Ryan had a goal ruled out for offside for Havant, who also missed a first-half penalty with Lewis Carey saving from Scott Donnelly.
Mark Lovell had a golden chance from Nathan Green's cross as Angels improved after the break and Green himself went close midway through the half.
Havant were denied by the linesman's flag for a second time when Nic Ciardini had a strike ruled out for offside.
Warrilow announced his resignation after Angels' 7-1 defeat at Chelmsford on Easter Monday confirmed relegation.
