Tonbridge AC athletes took home both senior titles in the Kent County Cross-Country Championships at Brands Hatch on Saturday.

James Kingston claimed the senior men's crown to follow up Jamie Goodge's win last year with victory over Ashford AC's Marshall Smith in 39min33sec. Smith (40.41) was ahead of Tonbridge's Alex Howard (41.01).

Phoebe Barker (31.33) made it a senior double for Tonbridge with first place in the women's race. Barker was more than a minute-and-a-half ahead of Cambridge Harriers' Katherine Curran (33.05) with Kent AC's Lucy Elms a further 38 seconds adrift in third.

Tonbridge locked out the top-three places in the under-20 men's race, Matthew Dubery (20.11) just two seconds in front of Edward Coutts with Jamie MacDonald third in 20.28.

The under-20 women's race was won by Blackheath & Bromley Harriers' Morgan Squibb. Her 23.45 sealed victory by 20 seconds from Tonbridge's Noemie Thomson, with B&B clubmate Hannah Clark (24.29) third.

Invicta East Kent emulated Tonbridge with a one-two-three finish in the men's under-17 event. Jake Stevens (20.18) had 30 seconds in hand over Noah Patterson, with Adam Whitlock completing the top three in 20.54.

Crowborough's Annabelle Souter led the way in the under-17 women's race in 23.28, with Sevenoaks' Eliza Nicholson (23.48) and Blackheath & Bromley's Carys Firth (24.35) second and third.

The men's under-15 competition saw yet another Tonbridge success thanks to Toby Bawtree (15.53). Joseph Scanes was just three seconds behind for Blackheath & Bromley, while Tonbridge's Connor Prendergast was classified third ahead of Medway & Maidstone's Ryan Fisher with both runners posting 16.03.

Megan Barlow made strides to win the under-15 girls' race in 17.51 for Blackheath & Bromley. Medway & Maidstone's Amber Matthews was best of the rest - just six seconds behind - with Ella Baker third in 18.02 representing Sevenoaks.

Medway & Maidstone's Freddie Gibson (11.27) took the honours in the under-13 boys' race. Charlie Warren of Tonbridge was next home in 11.33 - just three seconds in front of Blackheath & Bromley's Daniel Horgan.

Blackheath & Bromley's Aoife McDonagh broke the 12-minute mark to win the under-13 girls' race. McDonagh ran 11.58 with Ava Chappell (12.11) of Ashford AC and Weald Tri's Sophie Richmond giving chase (12.17).

Tonbridge won all the men's first-to-score categories, while Blackheath & Bromley were victorious in the under-17 and under-13 girls' events. Tonbridge topped the three-to-score senior standings, with Kent AC six-to-score senior winners. Tonbridge were under-20 women's winners and Medway & Maidstone took the under-15 first-to-score spoils.
