£3,000 stolen from social club safe

RAIDERS who broke into the Constitutional Club in Sandrock Road at Tunbridge Wells forced open a safe and stole £3,000 in cash. The theft occurred netween 11.50pm on Saturday and about 10.15am on Sunday.
Police are appealing for anyone with information to contact them on 01732 740055 or call Crimestoppers on 0800 555111.
In a separate break-in on Saturday, at the Hadlow Stair Garage, Tonbridge, a window was smashed and lottery tickets to the value of £1,000 were stolen.
Later the same day a 17-year-old youth was arrested in connection with the incident and charged with burglary. He has been bailed to appear before local magistrates on Thursday.
