Motorists in Tunbridge Wells are experiencing heavy traffic this morning after a deer was hit by a car.
Police officers were called to Pembury Road at 6.30am to reports of the incident.
The deer was reportedly covered in a blanket, but sadly died on the side of the road shortly after being hit.
The road between the town centre and Tesco superstore in Pembury was closed whilst officers were on scene, but has now been re-opened.
A Kent Police spokesperson said that patrols left at 8.30am.
