A Kent based publisher, founded by A Staplehurst woman, has carried out a book tour in Tunbridge Wells.
Fat Fox books was founded by Holly Millibank last year and she believes in making books accessible for children from all backgrounds.
Based in Tunbridge Wells, the publisher went on a book tour to Langton Green Primary School where debut author Anna Bogie talked about her new book "Happy Hooves, Oh, Oh, Oh!".
Reception, Year 1 and Year 2 took part in a reading and were able to interact with Miss Bogie after hearing her story.
Miss Millibank started her career as a journalist at BBC's Newsround before coming a news reporter at the now defunct newspaper News of the World. She freelanced for national publications until 2013 when she changed directions in her career and chose children's publishing.
It is this background that Holly says is standing her in good stead for a complete change in career. She said: “Since entering the world of publishing, the first thing most people ask is how long I have been in the industry and are slightly shocked when I say I have no background in publishing!
"However, our mission statement at Fat Fox is we want to make all books accessible to children of all different backgrounds, and slightly change the status quo of a children’s book publishing industry where predominantly the middle classes are targeted.
"My tabloid background lends itself perfectly to help make that change.”
