Smoke warnings have been dropped after firefighters managed to put out a barn blaze that was raging for almost 24 hours.
Fire engines remain on the scene near Penshurst Road in Bidborough, Tunbridge Wells, where crews began working to extinguish the flames just before midday yesterday (November 15).
People living or working nearby were advised to close windows and doors due to smoke coming from the fire.
Four fire engines and a bulk water carrier were needed, but this morning a spokesman for the Kent Fire and Rescue Service explained two fire engines are all that remain at the scene.
They said: “Firefighters are continuing to dampen down the surrounding area and any remaining hotspots.”
No injuries have been reported and the cause is not yet known.
