An elderly woman was given oxygen after a house blaze which spread across two floors.
Firefighters are still dealing with the blaze in Prettyman's Lane, Edenbridge.
Crews were called to the two-storey house just after midnight, with three fire engines and a bulk water-carrier sent.
Kent Fire and Rescue services said today: "Crews tackled the blaze, which involved both floors of the property, using hose-reel jets and a hydrant.
"An elderly woman, who was out of the property before crews arrived, was given oxygen therapy for suspected smoke inhalation and was passed into the care of an ambulance crew."
Crews remain at the scene, damping down hot-spots.
The cause of the fire is not yet known.
