Police are still working to formally identify a man whose body was discovered in Tunbridge Wells yesterday.
Torrington car park in Vale Road, which was sealed off yesterday, has today reopened to commuters.
Police remain at the scene today as the investigation continues.
Firefighters were called there following reports of a blaze just after 4am, and found the man's body in a stairway on the first floor.
His death is currently being treated as unexplained.
Officers will now be reviewing post-mortem examination results.
Yesterday two forensics teams in white suits were seen carrying out investigations in the multi-storey building.
A homeless woman in her 40s has lived in the stairwell near where the body was found for two weeks.
The woman, who almost broke down in tears, claims she did not know the man, but heard noises.
She said yesterday: "I didn't know him, but I heard things, including bangs, this morning."
It is the same car park where, in 2006, the body of murdered teenager Terry Edmonds was found in a suitcase.
Anyone with information which may help officers in establishing the circumstances around the man's death is asked to call 01622 604100, quoting reference 07-0088.
