Wartime grenades found in St George's Park, Tunbridge Wells

An army bomb squad was called to dispose of unexploded grenades.
Police were called just before 11am yesterday when wartime munitions were discovered in St George's Park, Tunbridge Wells.
Part of the area was cordoned off as a precaution while controlled explosions were carried out.
A police spokesman said: "We were called at 10.51am following a report that unexploded wartime munitions had been found in St George's Park, Tunbridge Wells.
"Officers and Kent Fire and Rescue Service were at the scene.
"An Army bomb disposal team also attended. The munitions were destroyed in controlled explosions."
Residents were asked to close their doors and windows while the explosions were carried out.
