St John Ambulance searches for volunteers in and around Tunbridge Wells
08:00, 26 May 2015
St John Ambulance is looking for volunteers to spearhead projects in Tunbridge Wells.
The charity has launched the new ‘Community Fundraiser’ role to enable people to get involved and support it, without ever picking up a first aid kit.
SJA relies on donations to teach life saving skills, deliver first aid and campaign to raise awareness of the importance of first aid.
Saricka March, regional fundraising coordinator for SJA, said: “Many people assume the only positions within SJA are as first aiders; however, we have much more to offer.
"There are other support roles available too and, in particular, we’re looking for enthusiastic and committed people to become Community Fundraisers and deliver fundraising events and activities in their local community.
"They can do this alone, or join one of our new fundraising groups, or they can become one of our new Fundraising Team Leaders, heading up a group in the local area. This is a great role for someone wanting experience in the fundraising sector.
“Volunteering with St John Ambulance is highly rewarding and you’ll also get to work side by side with inspirational people, from all walks of life, and with all kinds of expertise and experience.”
For more information on this role please contact Saricka March on 07875 967176 or email to saricka.march@sja.org.uk
