Construction to a Tunbridge Wells care home, Chamberlain Court, begins on Mount Ephraim Road
15:54, 01 May 2015
Work to create a large scale care home in Tunbridge Wells has started.
Chamberlain Court will be constructed on a one-acre site on Mount Ephraim road, and the 72-bed facility will provide residential, nursing and dementia care to its patients.
The care provider, Hallmark Homes, will be creating its first Kent care home, adding to the collection of 17 sites across England and Wales - creating 60 new jobs.
The sites construction team were recently joined by Hallmark’s MD Avnish Goyal to officially mark the beginning of the project, where the first foundations of the home were laid.
The £5.9million project will see the creation of a home providing a spacious and sociable environment, where its patients can participate in activities - facilities are set to include a cinema, hairdressers, barbers and therapy room.
MD, Avnish Goyal said: "We have years of knowledge and experience of building award-winning care homes. We are excited to be able to create an engaging new care community at Tunbridge Wells.
He added "Chamberlain Court will provide residents with a place where they feel safe and supported to live an active and fulfilled live."
