Trees and scrub were alight when firefighters arrived at the scene of an outdoor fire this afternoon.

Crews used three hose reel jets and a main jet, as well as a bulk water carrier and water shuttle, to tackle the fire on land off Langton Road in Speldhurst.

Four fire engines were sent to the large area of land that was alight and had caught trees, scrub, and a large quantity of logs.
