A drug dealer has been jailed after he was caught attempting to sell heroin.
Curtis Igori was sentenced to 15 months in prison after planning to sell class A drugs in Tunbridge Wells.
When police officers stopped the 24-year-old in his car last year they found quantities of heroin and cocaine divided into a large number of separate cling film wraps.
Igori, formerly of Hillcrest Close, Sydenham had been planning to sell drugs on Monday, July 8, 2013 but was arrested after local officers forced him to stop his black Vauxhall Astra in London Road, Southborough.
A compartment between the handbrake and gear stick was found to contain 53 wraps of heroin weighing 15.5 grams and seven wraps of cocaine weighing 1.7 grams.
Igori was also carrying £315 in cash and two mobile phones.
A search of his home led to further evidence of drug dealing as forensic tests identified cocaine residue on scales and a knife.
Igori was arrested but refused to comment on any questions during police interviews.
He was sentenced at Maidstone Crown Court on Monday June 30 having previously pleaded guilty to two counts of possessing class A drugs with intent to supply.
District commander for Tunbridge Wells, chief inspector Dave Pate said that the sentence was a reminder to criminals of the consequences they would face if they tried to supply drugs in the town.
He added said : "I welcome the sentencing of Curtis Igori following his drug dealing in our town. I have commented before on this type of crime and how it damages so many people’s lives.
I repeat the message - come to this district and deal in unlawful drugs and we will arrest you. Expect to go to prison."
