A man due to appear in court for supplying drugs to a woman found dead in Tunbridge Wells last year has been found hanged.
Sussex Police were called to Willowfield Road, Eastbourne - where John Lower had been living - at 11.20am on Monday where they found his body.
His death is not being treated as suspicious and the coroner has opened an inquest.
Lower, 53, had been charged with supplying heroin after Tunbridge Wells woman Ruby Smith was found dead in a flat in Upper Grosvenor Road in October.
He was arrested along with a 55-year-old man, who was later released without charge.
He had been due to appear before Maidstone Crown Court on the charges.
