11:14, 01 February 2016
Firefighters were called to a kitchen fire in a house in Tunbridge Wells last night.
The fire is believed to have started when paper fell on to a hob before spreading to a worktop.
Crews were called to the property in Grosvenor Road shortly after 5.15pm and remained at the scene for 20 minutes.
A man who tried to put the fire out was treated by paramedics for the effects of breathing in smoke.
He was passed to the care of SECAmb for further monitoring.
