Fireworks were set off inside an historic train sparking a manhunt.
Two restored 1960s dining cars were vandalised at Spa Valley Railway in Tunbridge Wells on New Year's Eve.
One of the dining cars, named Kate, has won awards.
Addressing visitors on New Year's Eve, the operator said: "There are remnants of fireworks set off inside the coaches, a charred box outside the door into Kate’s kitchen, mince pies and sandwiches chucked all over the coaches, one broken end door where they’ve attempted to get in plus evidence of a firework being launched at the woodwork in Kate!
"A fire extinguisher appears to have been stolen along with a card reader from ‘Kate’, plus the wasted catering stock.
"The damage could have been a whole lot worse and thankfully no fire was able to take hold."
Today police issued images of three people caught on camera who they wish to identify.
