11:15, 25 October 2014
A man has been arrested in connection with a serious assault in Tunbridge Wells.
On Saturday, October 18 a 22-year-old man was attacked in Mount Ephraim and left with injuries to his head.
The attack, thought to have been unprovoked, happened between 12.15am and 12.30am close to the junction with Culverden Street.
Officers have since arrested a 28-year-old man from Crowborough on suspicion of assault. He has been bailed until Wednesday.
It follows the release yesterday of CCTV images of a man police wanted to speak to as part of their enquiries.
Detective constable Graham Hunt said: "The victim was minding his own business before he was approached by a man who punched him in the head and then struck him again. He didn't see the attack coming."
