M&S will close cafe at Fountain’s Park branch in Tunbridge Wells
13:48, 27 August 2024
It’s all change at an out-of-town M&S store.
The M&S at The Fountains Retail Park off Dowding Way, Tunbridge Wells, is undergoing a major switch around.
In common with all M&S stores across the country, the store has ceased selling larger items of furniture such as beds, sofas and wardrobes.
But it has also announced the closure of its instore cafe - with the last day of service being this Saturday.
A spokesman said: “While we understand this will be disappointing news for some customers, all café colleagues will continue working in other roles in store and we will continue to work hard serving customers across food, clothing and beauty."
The company would not reveal what it was planning to replace the cafe with.
The spokesman said the closure was part of a “regular review of the best use of space in the store”.
The store will still sell homeware products but only smaller items such as bedding and kitchenware.
