Freddie Farnie, of Holmewood Road, Tunbridge Wells sentenced for assaulting officers in the town and damaging Tonbridge Police station cell

A man has admitted assaulting police officers and causing criminal damage in Tunbridge Wells.

On December 21 Freddie Farnie, of Holmewood Road, damaged a Kia Piccanto parked in Upper Grosvenor Road.

The same day the 21-year-old was drunk and disorderly in Calverley Road, assaulted two police officers in the town and caused £100 damage to a cell at Tonbridge Police Station.

On March 8 he assaulted another two police officers and damaged a cell in a police van.

Magistrates ordered Farnie to carry out 200 hours of unpaid work within the next 12 months and have treatment for his alcohol dependency as directed.

He must also pay a total of £1,050 in compensation, £85 costs and a £60 victim surcharge.
