Man arrested for assault after woman hit by car in Tunbridge Wells

A man has been arrested after a woman was hit by a car following an argument at the scene of a crash.
The incident happened at around 11.30pm on Friday in Liptraps Lane, Tunbridge Wells .
It is alleged there was an altercation involving the occupants of two cars. The driver of one of the vehicles, a red Vauxhall Insignia, was said to have collided with a woman standing next to the other car.
It was reported the Vauxhall then hit a bus.
The victim, aged in her 40s, was taken to hospital for treatment to leg injuries.
A 31-year-old man from Lamberhurst was today arrested on suspicion of assault and has been taken into custody.
DI Natalie Potter, of Maidstone CID, said: "We are continuing to appeal for anybody who saw the incident or has information that may assist the investigation to contact us.
"I am also asking motorists who may have been in the area between 11pm and midnight to check for any dashcam footage that shows a red Vauxhall Insignia."
