A man has been charged after he was found with multiple knives after a police stop.
On April 25 officers were patrolling in Cranwell Road, Rusthall, Tunbridge Wells, when they approached a man in charge of a suspicious vehicle.
They searched it and found a number of knives and a hand axe in the glove compartment, centre console and on a key ring.
As a result, Jason Jeferys, of Valley Road, Rusthall, was arrested and following an investigation was charged with four counts of possessing a knife.
The 49-year-old was also charged with driving without insurance and appeared before a virtual court on Tuesday, November 10.
He was bailed to appear at Maidstone Magistrates' Court on January 11.
Kent Police is currently taking part in a national week of action in the fight against knife crime and other offences with weapons, which runs from Monday 9 to Sunday November 15.
Operation Sceptre includes police forces across the country and is an extension of the relentless work officers already do to reduce the impact of knife crime and in communities.
