Crash blocks Calverley Road in Tunbridge Wells as police and ambulance called to scene

Police and paramedics were called out to Tunbridge Wells this afternoon after a crash in the town centre.
Calverley Road is partially blocked in both directions following the crash which happened just before 4.20pm
The crash is thought to have involved a car and a pedestrian near Iceland.
Police closed the road off at the roundabout with Crescent Road and Lansdowne Road.
A force spokesperson confirmed the accident involved a car and a pedestrian, adding: "Officers are currently at the scene where the road is currently closed to traffic.
"A man has been taken to a local hospital."
