Richard Clark issued with Criminal Behaviour Order after antisocial acts in Tunbridge Wells and Tonbridge
15:50, 06 February 2017
A Tunbridge Wells man has been issued with an order preventing him from committing further antisocial acts in and around the town.
The Criminal Behaviour Order also prevents him from being antisocial in Tonbridge.
Richard Clark appeared at Sevenoaks Magistrates on Wednesday, February 1.
The 47-year-old is now forbidden from being drunk in any public place in the towns, as well as being prohibited from being in possession of an open container of alcohol.
PC Emma Scott of the Tunbridge Wells Community Safety Unit said: "Richard Clark has become a familiar face in Tunbridge Wells town centre for all the wrong reasons.
"He has been arrested on numerous occasions, often relating to his unacceptable behaviour, with incidents of him being threatening and abusive whilst under the influence of alcohol.
"This has had a significant impact on numerous members of the public and local services.
"The conditions of the order should prevent further incidents happening so that people can socialise and shop in these areas without fear of being confronted by this sort of unacceptable behaviour.
"I hope Mr Clark uses the restrictions and positive requirements placed upon him effectively and as a way of addressing his issues."
The Pinewood Gardens, Tunbridge Wells, resident must also take part in an alcohol treatment program. If he breaches this order, he could be given a prison term of up to five years.
