A popular music festival, which recently changed date and venue, has been slammed for failing to refund ticket holders who are no longer able to attend.

HD Festival was due to be held at Eridge Park in Tunbridge Wells on July 4 and 5. The two-day event will now be based at Paddock Wood’s Hop Farm on September 5 and 6.

At the time organisers said they were “deeply sorry” for the changes, but did not announce reasons behind them.

The festival, now in its fifth year, has now received criticism after a number of ticket holders who cannot make the revised date have not received refunds.

Stacey Oliver, from London, asked for his money back when the date change was first announced in May, but is yet to receive anything.

He said: “It is absolutely ridiculous. We bought our tickets straight after the last event but no one was told about the change of venue.

"I’ve e-mailed back and forth and I keep getting told I’ll get my money back on different dates but it hasn’t happened. They said they’ll give me tickets to some event in Swansea, it’s ridiculous.

When approached by the KM, a HD Festival spokesman said the event was working to resolve issues but would not release a statement at this point.

"Tickets range from £35 to £135. Gorgon City, Pendulum and Sub Focus were recently announced as headliners for the event, which will run over two days for the very first time.
