Opera enthusiasts now have a chance to hear extracts from Italian opera and classical pieces at a Gala Evening of Opera next month.
The Gala, being held at St Peter's Church in Pembury hopes to raise £800 for a new ECG machine for the St James Medical Centre in Tunbridge Wells.
The evening is being held by Matchbox Opera on Saturday, October 11.
Dr Matthew Edwards from the clinic said: "It’s great that Matchbox Opera have agreed to put on a fundraising concert to enable us to fund a new and improved, important piece of equipment and the software to integrate it with our computer system.
“A fully integrated ECG machine makes it possible to quickly diagnose possible heart problems and electronically send timely information to specialist clinics in a recognised format that all clinicians will be familiar with.”
Tickets are £15 and available from St James Medical Centre on 01892 541634, Pembury Chemist or from Sandra Sterling on 07766 294720.
