Southeastern signalling problems at Tunbridge Wells delaying passengers
10:00, 06 September 2014
Signalling problems between Tunbridge Wells and Wadhurst are causing delays and cancellations to journeys between Tonbridge and Hastings this morning.
Train services running through these stations may be cancelled at short notice and Southeastern is advising passengers to take alternate routes to avoid any further delay.
The problems are causing delays of up to 30 minutes and it is estimated they will continue until at least 11:00am.
Any passengers at stations before Tonbridge, wishing to travel to Hastings are being advised to join a service down to Ashford International and change there for a Southern service to Hastings.
Passengers at Hastings wishing to travel to London may either use the Southern services to Ashford, and change for services to Charing Cross, or travel on the Southern services from Hastings to London Victoria.
Buses are being arranged to run between Tonbridge and Hastings and are due at 10:35am.
Southeastern said an estimate for the resumption of normal services will be given as soon as the problem is fully assessed.
