A young teenager remains in a serious condition this morning after being hit by a van in Tunbridge Wells.
The 15-year-old sustained serious head injuries after being hit just after 4pm on Broadwater Down.
The road was closed in both directions between the A26 and A267 Frant Road after the incident which involved a white Volkswagen van.
She was walking with a number of other children at the time of the collision, and Kent Police say officers would like to hear from those they have not already spoken to.
Any other witnesses are also encouraged to get in touch with the serious collision appeal line on 01622 798538 quoting reference 15-0736. Alternatively email sciu.td@kent.pnn.police.uk.
The road was reopened at about 8pm.
