Tunbridge Wells Borough Council elections will begin today

13:30, 08 May 2015

After Greg Clark was elected as MP for Tunbridge Wells, another landslide victory for Conservatives came at the Tunbridge Wells borough council election.

There were 17 council seats up for grabs – 35% of its places - and all of them are now blue.

Labour, Lib Dems and Ukip candidates were angling for seats in the borough but failed to make any headway.

Ukip's campaign was big in the area, with 16 candidates standing.

Residents living in the 16 wards where there is an election received a second ballot slip when they visited their polling station, to select who they want to represent their interests at the council.
