A rapist has been jailed for eight years after twice raping a woman.
Soran Mahmad-Ali, of High Street, Tunbridge Wells, attacked his victim in Southborough.
The 45-year-old was arrested in 2012 and charged with six counts of rape.
He stood trial at Maidstone Crown Court and was found guilty of two rapes. He was acquitted of the other four charges.
Mahmad-Ali was sentenced to eight years in prison and told his name will appear on the sex offenders' register for life.
DC Nicola Hilton, from Kent Police, said: "I am happy for the victim as this may provide some closure for her in what was a very difficult time in her life.
"If someone has been a victim of sexual offences, but not reported them then I would urge them to come forward.
"If you have been the victim of a sexual offence then you will be taken seriously, treated compassionately and we will do everything in our power to ensure that the offender is sent to prison."
