Tunbridge Wells fire crews tackle flat fire near Sainsbury’s along Linden Park Road

Two people needed medical attention after a flat fire near a Sainsbury’s supermarket.
Six fire engines were called to the blaze at a residential block in Linden Park Road, Tunbridge Wells at 2pm.
A height vehicle is also at the scene and crews wearing breathing apparatus have been tackling the flames using hose reel jets and main jets.
Police and paramedics are also at the scene.
A Kent Fire and Rescue Service spokesman said: “Two people suffering the effects of smoke inhalation have been handed into the care of paramedics.
“The cause of the fire is not yet known.”
The police have also been contacted for further information.
