A yellow weather warning for thunderstorms is in place across parts of Kent.
It will be in effect until 9pm today, covering much of south-west Kent from Tunbridge Wells to Romney Marsh.
"While many places will stay dry, heavy showers and thunderstorms may cause flooding and travel disruption in a few places," the Met Office says.
It also warns "there is a small chance that homes and businesses could be flooded quickly" and "spray and sudden flooding could lead to difficult driving conditions" due to the conditions, as well as the chance of delays and cancellations to some train and bus services.
The warning is in force from midday as the Met Office says communities could become cut-off by flooded roads and also warns "there is a slight chance that power cuts could occur", affecting some homes and businesses.
It comes after a flood alert was issued by the Environment Agency for parts of the Weald this morning.
The alert is in place for the Upper River Medway and flooding is possible from Forest Row, in East Sussex, to Penshurst, in the Weald.
