Investigation after serious assault in Sherwood Way, Tunbridge Wells

A woman and two teenage boys have been arrested following reports of a serious assault.

Police were called to a disturbance in Sherwood Way, Tunbridge Wells at around 7.10pm on Friday, July 19 and discovered a man had been taken to hospital before their arrival.

The victim, who is in his 40s, received treatment for his injuries and has since been discharged.

The same evening, a 40-year-old woman and the boys, aged 15 and 16, were arrested on suspicion of assault.

They were subsequently bailed to return to the police station on October 7, pending further enquiries.

An investigation is under way and police are appealing to witnesses who have not yet spoken to them to make contact.
