Tunbridge Wells won at Sandwich on Saturday to move up to second in the Kent League Premier Division.

Matthew Barker played a hand with bat and ball to guide the visitors to a four-wicket success.

Opening bowlers Barker (3-28) and Ryan O'Beirne (3-36) did most of the damage as Sandwich were 174 all out in the 49th over. Sandwich's Alex Smith top-scored with 45 before he was run-out by Kent’s Marcus O'Riordan.

Australian overseas bowler David Grant (2-17) and Alex Smith (2-31) did well with the ball first up for Sandwich from their allocation of 10 overs.

But wicketkeeper Sam Smith top-scored with 56 in Tunbridge Wells’ reply, Christian Davis (28 not out) and Barker (15 not out) then getting them over the line.

Leaders Hayes skittled Bickley Park for 60 as they maintained their 100 per cent with a seven-wicket win.

William MacVicar (6-31) did most of the damage, only Ranjit Singh (21) able to reach double figures for Bickley Park.

Jason Benn (2-26) got both of Hayes’ openers but they still won in the 12th over as wicketkeeper Liam Vallois top-scored with 18.

A James Thompson ton helped Minster claim a 67-run victory over Blackheath.

Thompson ended exactly 100 not out from 94 balls, with nine fours and four sixes, while Aron Nijjar (68) offered support to get Minster to 251-5 from 50 overs.

Opening bowler Joseph Parry (4-42) did best for Minster as Blackheath ended 184 all out in the 45th over, despite wicketkeeper Ross Richardson (59) top-scoring.

Bottom side Beckenham beat Lordswood by three wickets.

Lordswood won the toss and elected to bat first, but the Beckenham breakthrough came when David Moody blasted through Linden Lockhart’s defences to trap the Lordswood player bang in front and, shortly after, new batsman Joe Gordon shouldered a thunderbolt from Moody which sent a stump into orbit to leave Lordswood 13-2.

But opener Bradley Goldsack (63) was displaying good, solid technique in the anchor role as he and Scottish international Calum MacLeod (17) worked hard to put the innings back on track before MacLeod edged behind off acting skipper Harri Aravinthan.

New arrival Jack Laraman batted fluently from the outset as he (26) and Hugh Scott (29) playing a supporting role to get Lordswood to 173-9 from their 50 overs. Moody was the pick of the Beckenham bowlers with figures of 2-16 from 10 overs.

Beckenham opener Nick Rigg led his team’s run-chase and ended up 76 not out as they recovered from 32-3 and got home in the 47th over. Ross Piller (31) offered support.

Bexley won a high-scoring game Sevenoaks Vine by 61 runs.

Aiden Griggs (107) guided them to 278-6 from 50 overs, supported by fellow opener Calum Basey (66) and Shaun Evans (55). Opening bowlers Luke Schlemmer and James Carslaw ended with figures of 2-46 and 3-49, respectively.

Schlemmer struck 75 but Sevenoaks Vine could only reach 217-9, Ed Nuttall (2-25), Adam Ball (2-33) and Evans (2-28) all taking two wickets for Bexley.
