A head-on collision between two cars caused long delays on a country road.
The A274 Headcorn Road near Biddenden was partially blocked in both directions due to the crash.
As a result there was slow traffic by the accident and the air ambulance also landed nearby.
A Mitsubishi 4x4 and Peugeot – which had its roof taken off by firefighters – collided near the Frittenden turn-off.
Ambulances and several fire engines were called to the scene.
A spokeswoman for Kent Fire and Rescue Service said: "At around 9.32am two fire engines were sent to the scene and crews arrived to a collision involving two vehicles.
"Firefighters used hydraulic rescue equipment to remove the roof of one vehicle and free a casualty."
