Air ambulance lands Bedgebury National Pinetum and Forest near Goudhurst

A young child has been rushed to hospital with a head injury after falling from a bicycle at Bedgebury National Pinetum near Goudhurst.

The air ambulance landed at the nature reserve when the alarm was raised just after 12.30pm today.

They were joined by paramedics from South East Coast Ambulance Service and the child was taken to Tunbridge Wells Hospital by road.

They were accompanied by members of the Helicopter Emergency Medical Service who have advanced training in caring for patients before they arrive at hospital.

The air ambulance has now left the scene.
