Staplehurst: Two 15-year-old boys arrested after stabbing in Headcorn Road

A 15-year-old boy was treated for a knife-wound after being stabbed in Staplehurst last night (Friday).
Police responded to the incident which was reported at 7.15pm in Headcorn Road. The unnamed teen was taken to Tunbridge Wells Hospital at Pembury for treatment to a minor wound to his shoulder.
A 15-year-old boy from Maidstone was arrested on suspicion of causing grievous bodily harm with intent. He has been bailed until April 7.
A second Maidstone boy, also 15, was arrested on suspicion of violent disorder and bailed until April 7.
Police say those involved are known to each other.
Witnesses reported seeing police close off the road last night at the junction with the A229 Station Road.
Mum-of-three Joanne Pow lives metres away from where police set up a cordon. She said friends with children were not letting their children play outside in the wake of the attack.
She said: "The police blocked the road and a forensics van was there for a few hours and one of my friends said she saw police dogs sniffing along a cut through nearby.
"He [the victim] was able to walk into an ambulance and they took him to hospital.
"I have lived here for 12 years and I have never known someone to be stabbed here before."
Maureen Collins also lives just off Headcorn Road. She said: "I have only been here for six months, but there has never been any trouble before. It is a very scary thing to happen."
