Break-in at Staplehurst station closes Southeastern ticket office

Part of a train station has been cordoned off this morning after a break-in overnight.
Staplehurst station's ticket office has been shut after it was broken into along with the station's coffee kiosk.
British Transport Police believes cash was stolen during the burglary.
A BTP spokeswoman said: "Officers were called to Staplehurst station at 1.49am to reports of a break in. It's believed a qunatity of cash was stolen.
"Officers remain at the scene. There have been no arrests at this stage."
Southeastern has confirmed the station's ticket office will remain closed "until further notice" while police carry out enquiries.
There is no reported disruption to train services through the station.
