A cat has died after a home in Marden caught alight yesterday evening.
Seven fire engines tackled the blaze in Campion Way, believed to have been caused when a tumble dryer caught on fire.
Operations began yesterday shortly before 10pm, and ended in the early hours of this morning at 12.48am.
Two people were passed into the care of paramedics as a precaution due to suspected smoke inhalation and a cat has died at the scene.
Pictures show the aftermath of the blaze, which had spread to the roof of the property.
A room in the top floor appears to be completely consumed by the fire, but the rest of the home seems intact from the outside.
People are being reminded to check the conditions of their tumble dryers.
A Kent Fire and Rescue Service spokesman said: "Always clean the filters regularly to stop a build-up of fluff, which could catch alight if not removed, and avoid running tumble dryers overnight, or when you’re not at home."
