Shoreham-by-Sea man, 89, dies in hospital month after crash on A229 Hartley Road in Cranbrook

An elderly man has died in hospital a month after a crash in Cranbrook.
The 89-year-old was driving a grey Volkswagen Polo involved in a smash with a blue Renault Grande Scenic.
He was taken to King's College Hospital, in London, but died last Thursday, police said today.
The crash happened on the A229 Hartley Road, at the Swattenden Lane junction, at around 11.10am on Sunday, June 8.
The elderly man who died in hospital was from Shoreham-by-Sea, in West Sussex.
Several passengers in the two vehicles were treated for less serious injuries.
Officers from the Kent Police Serious Collision Investigation Unit are now appealing for witnesses to phone 01622 798538.
