A pensioner has appeared in court charged with killing a father-of-four by driving carelessly.
Peter Elliott, 57, died after his green Honda motorcycle collided with a silver Range Rover Evoque on the A268 High Street in Hawkhurst.
The crash happened at the junction with Slip Mill Road in September 2018.
On Tuesday Peter Wyndham Johnson, 73, appeared at Sevenoaks Magistrates Court charged with causing death by careless or inconsiderate driving.
The Rosemary Lane, Flimwell, pensioner made a not guilty plea and has been released on unconditional bail.
The case will now go to trial at Maidstone Crown Court. Mr Johnson's first appearance will come on February 18.
Peter Elliott's family wrote a moving tribute to the HGV driver from Rye following his death.
In it they wrote: "We can't imagine what life will be without him.
"No-one knows how much we love and miss him; only aching hearts can tell."
