Police in Tenterden Road in Golford near Cranbrook

Two more people have been arrested after the murder of a pensioner in Biddenden.

A swarm of emergency services are currently in a field in Tenterden Road, at the junction with Chapel Lane, in Golford.

Seven police cars, two vans and a forensic vehicle are currently at the scene where two 36-year-old men from Cranbrook have been arrested on suspicion of murder.

The pair are currently in custody.

The area is directly opposite Godwin House Bed and Breakfast approximately one mile from Cranbrook.

A villager, who did not wish to be named, said: "There's two police minibuses and more police cars than you can shake a stick at.

"The farm is down a country lane and it's difficult to tell what's going on."

Another eyewitness said: "I've never seen as many forensic and police cars here."

It comes after the death of Mr Blackman, 73, whose body was found at an address in Headcorn Road, Biddenden on Monday, March 21.

Two days later a 49-year-old Maidstone man was also arrested on suspicion of murder.

He has been bailed, pending further enquiries, until Thursday, April 28.
