Man dies in crash on A262 Sissinghurst Road between Milkhouse and Three Chimney pubs

A man in his 70s has died after a crash on a rural road in Sissinghurst.

At around 4.45pm yesterday, a red Ford Fiesta and a blue Nissan Note collided on the A262 Sissinghurst Road.

The incident happened close to a junction for Sissinghurst Castle.

The road was closed completely between The Milkhouse Pub in Sissinghurst and The Three Chimneys Pub in Biddenden.

Officers and ambulance crews arrived and the driver of the Nissan, a 70-year-old man from the area, died at the scene.

His next of kin have been informed.

Police are urging anyone who saw the vehicles in the moments leading up to the collision, or who has dash cam footage from the area around the time, to contact them.
